The given graph show the general activities which American children prefer to do before their bedtime. Regarding to the age group from 1-3 year, it was evident that reading and having a bath rank the top and the second of their all-time favorite bedtime action, due to over 60% and 40% of them are interested in those, respectively. By contrast, just 30% babies’ under 3 years of age have the habit to brush teeth before sleeping and half of the adjacently previous figure desire to watch TV or eat; but noticeably, children throughout this age period being keen on showering and eating still occupy the biggest rate. In terms of elder kids, we can obviously see that this age group show the opposite trend comparing to children aging 1 to 3 years old, namely they indicate the greater interest (up to 70% for aged 4-6 and nearly 60% for 6-8, respectively) in reading before bed and they seem to regard brushing teeth as necessary, since the amount of children during 4-8 years doing this activity is roughly two third as much as that of younger counterparts. With having a bath and eating, the figure of elder children willing to do those activity constantly constitute the lowest and second lowest due to just approximately 33% kids want to take a shower and about 8% kids wanna eat. And normally, although just roughly 19% elder children like to watch TV as part of their bedtime routine, but this number is higher than that of babies, lead to babies’ lowest rate in this activity (15%). Overall, the majority American kids below 8 years old feel like reading before going to bed, meanwhile watching TV and eating are those actions which are consider to have an opposite drift.
