Overall, going to café for coffee or tea was the most popular way of drinking in all cities except Adelaide while buying fresh coffee was the least used way in all cities.
According to the chart, the number of people consuming either coffee or tea in a café in Melbourne and Hobart was similar and more than other cities at about 68%. After them Sydney with about 62 percent of residents was in the second place and Adelaide had the lowest proportion of going to café at 49%.
The second common way of drinking was buying instant coffee which is chosen by more than half of city dwellers in Brisbane and Hobart (about 53% and 54% respectively). In Adelaide, unlike other cities purchasing instant coffee was more preferable than going to a café and in Sydney less people drank instant coffee around 46%.
In turn to buying fresh coffee, it stood in the last place among Australians. The consumption of fresh coffee in Brisbane was as same as Adelaide at about 34% and in Sydney this figure was higher than others with about 43. 5%.
