Turning to the inner details, one interesting change is that a tramline has been built connecting the university and city center. In 2000, there wasn't any accommodation for the university students, but now a hall of residence has been built next to the university. Another striking change is that the old market has been knocked down to make way for a new shop. A new police station has been built at the backside of the city center, whereas in place of the old train station, a police station has been constructed. As we can see, the road at the port area has been pedestrianized. Earlier the port area was empty, whereas now some entertainment facilities were constructed such as cinema halls, bars and clubs. At the south-west of the city, a new covered market has been established. The airport is under construction next to the new train station. The north-east of the city used to be a green area, with lots of trees, but now the trees were ripped off and there seems to be a new shopping centre. A final interesting development in the city center is the introduction of a bike rental scheme.
