The line graph illustrates expenditure on three different types of junk food per week in Britain between 1970 and 1990. Over the period, it can be observed that there was a minimal decrease in the consumption of pizza whereas a marked increase was witnessed in expending on hamburger and fish and chips. At the beginning of the period (1970), pizza was the most popular convenience food of the British at a little over 300 grams per week. After that, the consumption pattern of pizza fell gradually to 200 grams each week in 1985 and it grew slightly to around 220 grams per week in the year 1990. On the other hand, people in the United Kingdom who consumed less hamburger and fish and chips than pizza with about 50 and 80 grams every week in 1970, respectively. The weekly quantities of hamburger British spent on to 110 grams in 1985 and climbed dramatically to nearly 300 grams each week in the final year. The period of 20 years saw a noticeable upward trend in the amount of fish and chips and reached a peak of 500 grams every week in 1990.
