The given diagram illustrates the process of making liquid chocolate from cacao tree.
It can be clearly seen that chocolate production involves ten main stages, commencing with harvesting ripe red pod from cacao trees and finishing with pressing inner part of cocoa beans to get liquid chocolate.
At the beginning of the process, ripe red pods are collected from cacao trees which are indigenous to South America, Africa and Indonesia. After that, white cocoa beans are picked from these pods before undergoing a fermentation process. In the next step, fermented cocoa beans are put in large trays and exposed under the sun to get dehydrated. Then, these dried beans are stored in large sacks with certain weight. Following that, sacks of beans are transported to factory by train or lorry. In the factory, beans are roasted with 350 degrees. Next, roasted beans are crushed by a grinder to move the outer shell, crushed beans are collected after this stage. At the end of the process, the inner part of beans is pressed by pressing machine to produce liquid chocolate.
