Firstly, Microsoft made a profit of nearly 1 billion dollars in Q1 2005 after it followed by a steady rise till the second quarter of 2006 and the earning reached 3. 5 billion dollars. After this, it fluctuates for next three quarters till first quarters of 2007. After this, it increased for the next two quarters and reached around 4. 2 billion dollars in Q3 2007 followed by a slight dip to 3. 8 billion dollars in Q4 2007. Secondly, IBM's benefits start from the graph was 0. 5 billion dollars in Q1 2005. In the second quarter of 2005, it picked profit around 1. 3 billion dollars. For next four quarters, it remained average change till Q1 2006. After the first quarter of 2006, it surges and touches profits of around 3 billion dollars in Q2 2006. Then, line falls and stop at the 1. 6 billion dollars in Q3 2006. For next three quarters, it stays with a small change to the Q1 2007.
