The flow chart illustrates the steps and apparatus used for producing cement, as well as the procedure of manufacturing concrete from cement for construction use. The diagram shows one of the possible ways to produce cement in six steps, and how cement is used to produce concrete on construction sites. First, in the cement manufacturing process, limestone and clay will be put in/through a crusher machine and crushed into powder. Next, this compound is mixed thoroughly in a mixing tube, then being transferred to a rotating heater where it is heated to the right temperature. After that, the powder is transferred to the Grinder and ground to smaller powder size. The result of this process is the fine powdered material, called cement, which would be packed into bags and is ready to ship to the next step. At the next stage of making concrete, a kind of mixture of four main materials including 15% of cement, 10% of water, 25% of sand, and 50% of gravel (small stone) would be poured into a concrete mixer machine. Subsequently, the final products which is recognized as concrete would be ready for building purposes.
