The first graph shows the proportion of the households possessing electronic devices changed over the period of 99 years starting from 1920, whereas the second graph illustrates data about how much time people spent on chores weekly over the same period in one nation.  Overall, it can be seen clearly from the graph that all electronic devices per household have become more popular, especially the refrigerator and vacuum cleaner. Meanwhile, the total time spent on doing housework declined dramatically during the period. In 1920, the refrigerator stood at 0%, the year 1940 saw the percentage of refrigerator grow remarkably to 55%, and then continued to reach the peak of 100% in 1980. As regarding vacuum cleaners, started point higher than refrigerator at 30%, and then rose gradually from 50% in 1940 to 90% in 1980, after that, it surged sharply and remained the same at 100% of population ownership between 2000 and 2019. However, beginning at 40%, there was a slight increase of 70% in the number of automatic washers in 1960, after that, it declined steadily until 1980, when it recovered and maintained the same level at 70% for nearly 39 years. Turning to the second graph, the amount of time spent on housework’s ratio reduced with time as it started from 50 hours each week in1920. Then, it fell continually and reached 15 hours per week in 1980. After that, it experienced a minimal drop to just only 10 hours a week in 2019.
