The diagrams illustrate West Park Secondary School building development and its surrounding area every 30 years apart, since 1950. In common, the main building of the school and the playground remained intact in the same space. The initial construction was in 1950. The school solely had two buildings which were the school and the playground behind it. There was farmland next to the playground and in front of it was a housing area. While in 1980, the school built additional constructions as science block and parking lot. These areas replaced the houses from the 1950s. The farmland also was changed into a sports field across the car park and science block. By 2010, the car park space was expanded and reduced the area of the sports field. After this new renovation, merely one-third of the sports field was left next to the playground. However, the playground was still in the same space and location after three times developing period.
