The diagram illustrates the various stages in the life cycle of a frog. Overall, the life cycle consists of 6 steps. It begins with the mating of a male and female frog and ends with the development of a mature frog. Interestingly, one of the steps in the life cycle occurs on land and rest of them in a water body. The first step is mating of a mature male and a female frog which takes place on land. The result of mating is the formation of frog spawn in a water body. This spawn is safely laid in between aquatic plants. Thirdly, the spawn hatches and emerges into small tadpoles. These tadpoles develop into young frogs. After some days of feeding the young frogs develop into mature frogs which are then ready to mate and continue the cycle in a loop.
