The diagram illistrates the process of producing carbonated drinks. Overall, it consists of five stages starting with water cleaning and finally leading to packaging and transport to supermarkets. Firstly the raw water is filtered, softened and chemically treated before being pumped to the next stage of heating, evaporation and carbonation. This is done by heating the water via electric heaters to induce evaporation. Furthermore, the evaporate is moved through cooling pipes and, comes to a stop in a chamber where carbon dioxide is pumped in. Thus in this chamber the two mix to form carbonated water. The carbonated water is then moved to the next stage, called mixing. In this stage the carbonated water is added to a large mixing tank, where the varies colourings, syrups and flavourings are introduced. The ingrediants are them mixed to produce the desired carbonated drink. This leads to the next stage, where the drink is filtered and filled into varies bottles and cans. Finaly the product is packed and shipped off to the supermarket to be sold.
