The diagram details the processes and tools nessecary for the manufacture of matches. Overall, the stages require the transformation of raw materials, involve cutting and different arrangement of the product as well as the usage of various chemicals.
First, the raw wood was peeled out from the log to form a so-called veneer. The veneer(s) were then chopped by a chopper into small pieces, which were then put it a tank of Ammonium Phosphate. Afterward, the pieces of soaked wood were dried in a dryer.
Moving on, the dried woods were dropped into a hopper that connected to a metal duct. The pieces were then moved along the duct using a blower, which led them to the storage area. Following this, woods were stacked in a tube before got inserted into a perforated steel belt which carried the pieces of stick along a tank of Parrafin wax, based chemcial and tip chemical. The pieces were then dipped into these mixure respectively before moving to a drying area and lastly towards the packagaing zone.
