The diagram below shows the production of steam using a gas cooled nuclear plant. 7BG5
The provided diagram illustrates the process of steam generation by using a gas cooled nuclear plant. Overall, it can be seen that it is a continuous cycle in which water is converted into steam by use of a gas cooled nuclear plant. To begin with, a gas cooled nuclear plant is divided in two vessels. One is a big reactor and another is a heat exchanger. In reactor, there are 4 Uranium fuel elements which are surrounded by graphite moderators. These elements are connected with boron control rods. The reactor vessel is protected by concrete radiation shield. Furthermore, hot gas flows through pipe from reactor to heat exchanger. In heat exchange, there is a pipe loop in which water flows. From one end, water enters through water circulator and steam comes out as a result at another end. Cool water is converted into steam because hot gas passes in heat exchanger chamber. Due to low temperatured water, hot gas transfers into cool gas and again enters into reactor through gas blower.
