The charts below show the distribution of the world's water and the use of water in three countries.

The pie charts illustrate the information about how the global water is distributed, and the table displays he proportion of water used in agriculture, domestic, and industry in three different countries, including China, India, and the UAE. The general overview is that salt water accounts for the majority of world's water, and fresh water is made up of mainly water from ice and glaciers. Most water in China and India is used for agriculture, while it is mainly used for industry in the UAE. According to the pie charts, 95% of world's water is salt, compared to 5% which is fresh water. Additionally, water from ice and glaciers is responsible for 75% of all fresh water, followed by 23% of ground water and 2% of surface water. Moving on to the use of water, it can be seen that both China and India use majority of their water for agriculture, with over three quarters, in comparison to industry and domestic usage which use water at only 10% and 15% respectively. However, the reverse is observed in the UAE where 80% of its water is used for industry, compared to agriculture and domestic purposes which use equal amount of water at 10% each.
