At the beginning of the period, in 1992, the Service Industry comprised of two fifth of GDP, meanwhile IT surpassed this rate, at just over 6 per cent. Over the next four years, with the similar levels, both components accounted for between 6 and just over 8 per cent. IT still remained higher overall, although it dropped slightly from 1994 to 1996. However, over the following four years, the two components witnessed noticeably different changes. There was a considerable growth in the percentage of GDP from IT to 12 percent in 1998 and then increase nearly 15 percent in 2000, while the Service Industry remained nearly stable, rising to only 8 per cent. At the end of the period, the percentage of GDP from IT was almost twice than that of the Service Industry.
