The bar chart illustrates the percentage of population aged 14 years and below in seven countries in 1985 and 2008. Overall, there was a clear trend toward decrease in the proportion of children in the population of those countries. Also, the most population belonged to India in 1985 and 2008, while the least population belonged to Italy in 1985, and also in 2008. It is clear that there were decrease for all countries which were given in the chart. Some figures had more decrease than others. For instance, the most decrease belonged to China and Brazil (nearly from 36% to 26%) with approximately 10% from 1985 to 2008. Meanwhile, there was the least decrease with nearly 1% from 1985 to 2008 in United States. Likewise, Italy, Euro Area, United Kingdom and India had also decrease in youth population. Euro Area and United Kingdom had a similar numbers of population by years. (nearly 4%, 2%, 2%, and 5% respectively).
