The Bar chart depicts the proportion of world population contributed by 4 countries namely India, China, USA and Japan in the year 1950 and 2000, the Chart also provides the population forecast till 2050. Overall, China was the most populated country but in the coming future, India will surpass china whereas US citizens are more in number compared to Japanese Citizens but the Population of both the countries are far less compared to India and China. China had the greatest number of people in the year 1950 approximately 26% compared to India which was around 15% Whereas USA and Japan were far less at 10% and 5% respectively, these percentages further decreased in all the three countries except India in the coming 50 years, China, USA and Japan have seen a slight drop in their population is at 24%, 8% and 4% respectively whereas India has experienced a rise in population and reached 18% in the year 2000. As Projected in the chart the number of Indian Nationals will exceed the number of Chinese citizens by the year 2050, as the Indian population will grow to 21% in the coming 50 years at the same the Chinese population will fall to 18%, The number of US citizens will be stable at 8% whereas there will be a minor drop in Japanese population to 3%.
