The chart shows the number of trips (in millions) made by children in one country in 1990 and 2010 to travel to and from school using different modes of transport. The bar chart is categorized into children who travel to and from school at the age of 5 to 12. Moreover, there are 5 different types of transportations used, including walking and some other vehicles (car, bicycle and bus). To begin with, walking to school is the most preferred method to travel to school and going home in 1990. The number illustrates that over 12 million students walked to school and went home in the year 1990. Meanwhile, in 2010, majority of the students chose to travel with car passenger. Car passenger stood at the lowest recorded value in 1990, and the lowest total number of trips per year in 2010 were cycling. To conclude, based on the statistics, it is clearly seen that in the year 1990, not many students has their own vehicles to travel to school compared to the year 2010.
