The chart below shows the number of men and women in further education in Britain in three periods and whether they were studying fulltime or part-time. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar charts illustrates the numbers of men and women in higher education in three periods where they were studying part time or full time. In the overview of this chart we can seen the predominance of part time studying in both genders. Unlike in men the chart shows the bar gently falling after ten years in part time studying, but in the full time studying the chart has been growing since 1971. The female chart shows rising bars in both examples. The highest number in the male chart in part time studying people is 1000 in 1970/71. The highest number in full time in 1990/91 is 200. The female side illustrates the biggest increase in part time studying in 1990/91 and that is 1100 students and the highest number in full time increase in the same year to 200 students. In summary, the female bar chart in both types of studying is growing. In the male chart the numbers fluctuate.
