In primary education, female youngsters saw four girls rise per 100 boys in developing countries from 83 to 87 girls. In comparison with developed countries, it had a modest increase with just one girl to 96 girls. In secondary school, female students were fewer by 11 girls in 1990 than that in primary school and then increased to 82 girls in the next eight years. In secondary school, the ratio for girl students is reached to balance with that of boys. It was apparent that girls showed the least interest in tertiary education with the lowest number, it was just 66 and 75 girls in 1990 and 1998 respectively.
