The presented bar chart bellow illustrates the hardships people face when they immigrate to a new country and how the challenges vary depending to people’s ages. The most difficult area for young people aged 18 to 34 is making new friends, it’s experienced by 46% of the people in this age group. On the other hand, just a 36% of 35 - 54 year olds consider hard to make friends, while even fewer people over 55 (23%) have this problem. Learning local language is a problem for half of people over 55 years old. In contrast, the youngest age group finds it easier, and the proportion of people who have problems learning the language is much lower, at only 29%. 22% of people in the oldest age group have trouble finding accommodation. In fact, it is the second most significant problem for the other two age groups with 39% to 40% of the people in both groups finding it hard. Overall, all age groups face the same problems, but people over the age of 55 reported that they experience fewer challenges moving to a new country than the young generation.
