The chart gives data on how middle building costs altered in 5 various cities from 1990 to 2002 in comparison with the average house values in 1989. Measurement is in percentage. Overall, London showed the maximum price, while the minimum quantity was observed in Frankfurt over a 12 years period. In detail, in New York this indicator was equal to less than 5% when compared with costs in 1989 from 1990 to 1995, however this quantity increased slightly for the next 7 years and became 5 %. This segment for Madrid and Frankfurt maintained the same level between 1990 and 1995, amounting to approximately 2%. Then there was a doubling in Madrid (4%), however, house prices in Frankfurt went down to 1% over a 7 years period. At the beginning the ratio for Tokyo and London remained static and constituted less than 7 % in comparison with 1989, then this amount rose minimally and made up 5% for the next years. Hence, London reached the highest level and accounted for more than 10% from 1996 to 2002.
