The bar graph provides information on illiterate male and female rate in the year 2000 in six different regions. Overall, it clearly shows that the rate of lack of education among women was a percentage higher than that of men and this rate was the highest in South Asia and the lowest in developed countries. The illiteracy rate in deceptive countries was about 0% in both races. In Latin America and East Asia, the male rate was around 10% and 8% but in East Asia, the female rate was about 20% higher than in Latin America and the difference between these was close to 11%. In sub-Saharan Africa and the Arab states, the rate was about 30% for males, but in 2000 it was about 50% and 52% for illiterate females, respectively. In the year 2000, the female rate in South Asia was around 55% which was the highest rate as compared to other states, while about 33% were educated males.
