The bar chart compares how much expenditure was spent on five major categories by the people in four various nations, namely United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Japan throughout the year 2009. Overall, it is obvious that housing was the most consumed in United States, United Kingdom as well as Canada. Besides, spending on food was the most popular in Japan. In addition to, health care accounted for the smallest proportion. As can be seen from the chart, the housing problems in the United States began at 25 percent, which was higher than that in United Kingdom, Canada and Japan, with approximately 28 percent and 21 percent and 23 percent respectively. Similarly, the people in Japan spent money on food with 23 percent, followed by England, American and Canada with below 20 percent and roughly 14 percent and over 20 percent respectively. The transportation in Canada had the largest proportion with 20 percent, which was twice as much as that for the figure for Japan. The figure for means of transport was consumed over 17 percent by the people in America the in terms of transport, the number of England consumers surpassed with 15 percent. Looking at the other categories, health care for Canada and Japan shared the same percentage with below 4 percent. It is surprising that America citizens were spent money on that with over 5 percent, which was four times higher than Japan. By contrast, it is noticeable that the average clothing of United States was the lowest with 4 percent, whereas that of Canada, United Kingdom and Japan with 3 percent, over 5 percent and 4 percent in that order.
