The diagram depicts the process of breaking down waste in order to produce fertilizer (compost) for garden purposes. Overall, there are five stages of producing compost from organic waste.
First of all, the recycling process requires a plastic container that has a volume of 2m3. Additionally, air from the external environment is also a fundamental component of the process. Therefore, The container has to have some slots on it in order to let the air go through the container. In the next stage, three types of organic waste are being dropped into form three layers which are food, grass, and newspaper respectively, each of which is 15cm in height
In the third stage, Nitrogen and heated water are poured into the aforementioned waste mixture in the container. After inputting an accurate amount of nitrogen and hot water, in the next phase, the container is covered, incubated, and heated for around 6 months. During this period, all the gases of the mixture vaporize when they are being heated, and exit through the air slots on the container. After 6 months, the compost is ultimately formed and is ready to use for gardening or farming purposes.
