The table illustrated the proportion of women’s attendance in senior management in three companies from 1960 to 2000. Generally, there was a considerable rise in the percentage of women’s participation in senior managment in 3 companies throughout the period.
As can be seen, between 1960 and 1970, the rate of women who took part in senior management in Eastman LTD was the largest point of all 3 companies. At the same period of time, while the percentage of women’s attendance in senior management in 2 first companies significantly increased by 11% and 4% respectively, the remains followed a downward trend, decreased by 1%.
Suprisingly, after the year 1970, from 1975 to 2000, the percentage of women’s participation in senior management in Macrohand LTD suddenly reached the highest point among 3 companies. Clearly, the rate of women who worked for Macrohand LTD and Barnes LTD in senior management rosed from 26% to 63% and from 14% to 45% respectively. On the contrary, although the percentage of women in Eastman LTD attended in senior management increased during this period, from 21% to 25%, it experienced a fluctraction, from 21% downto 19% in 10 years and from 19% upto 25% in the next 15 years.
