International sports event refers to the sporting event where athletes from other countries partcipate and compete with each other. There are many advantages and disadvantages for organising such events: Advantages: 1) Organising a sporting event helps in the economic growth of the country especially the region where this event is organised. 2) It helps in generating employment for the local people. People could be employed in various sectors like infrastructure, travel and tourism, hospitality, transportation, hotels etc. 3) It helps our local sportsperson to learn from the experiences of international athletes. 4) It helps in infrastructure improvement as various new stadiums, hotels, aiports, roads etc. are build to accomodate the athletes and spectators 5) It helps in promoting tourism in the country as visitors from foreign countries often visit other parts of the country. They visit new places and spread awareness to their fellow citizens when they go back. 6) It helps in promoting social and cultural ties with other countries as foreigners visitors learn new things about the host country. It's vice-versa as many guides learn foreign languages by interacting with international tourists. Cons: While there are many advantages there are some disadvantages as well. Hosting an international event requires immense capital expenditure and many countries won't be able to pour in such a huge sum of money. Often this kind of event require a lot of real estate, which could result in displacement of existing towns and forests. To conduct an international event would also require immense human resources and countries might not be eqipped with the numbers and skillset required. Most importantly, it might be better to invest this huge capital into the welfare of the local population. In my view, countries should host an international event as it generates a lot of direct and indirect employment. This helps in the upliftment of host country's sportperson and putting the country on international map. Also, I feel international bodies & developed countries should help the weaker countries financially and in resource generation so as to conduct the event successfully
