Some first World countries have been spending a huge amount of money for space research. Some people believe that this research benefits all of humanity. Others take the opposit view and say that money for this type of research wasted. Discuss these two positions using example. Tell which view you agree with and explain why.

Some first World countries have been spending a huge amount of money for space research. Some people believe that this research benefits all of humanity. It goes without saying that, today's world are involved with exploring space. To find out planets containing with life exist or not. For reaching these, many countries spend a lot amount of money. So a group of people think that this kind of research is a wastage of money and other group think that this type of research is necessary for mankind. Some people believe that space research should not be done as it is a waste of money. People from unprivileged country can think like that because their government is notSuccessful in providing their basic needs. Their government can not fulfill their educational needs, residential needs, sanitation or even food for people who lives below the poverty line. The government can not provide them jobs or earning facility. Specially, people with low income give negative response to this kind of research because they think that investing in this kind of research do not bring any benefit to them. They also point out the fact that, spending billions of dollars for sending astronauts to the other palnets doesnot bring any benefit but to bring back some worthless rocks from those planets. It is better to spend these on earth to improve education system, environment, awareness in sanitation and find cures for diseases. On the other hand, some people agreed on researching on space because they think this brings benefits to our society. We can learn about other planets of the universe. We can also learn how to protect earth's environment which is damaged by human unknowingly. In this case green house is one of them. By spacecrafts and satellites, we can collect necessary data about harmful effects of these gases components and ways of preventing these gases. From these satellites we can learn about weather beforehand an we can forecast weather news to the world and can get warning before the disaster happen. We also become well-prepared to overcome these natural disaster. So, all of these advantages are not possible without space research or spending money. Taking everything into account, I think both group of people are thinking right. I agree with the fact that, developed countries should spend more money on space research. Underdeveloped countries should focus on fulfilling their people’s need first.
