The pie charts illustrate the reasons for which English is learnt by people from four different countries ( South Korea, Spain, China and Turkey ) at one language school in UK during the year 2017. Overall, it is evident from the pie charts that the most popular reason for learning English among all nationalities was for work except among the Turkish who studied it for Univeristy. Whereas the least percentage was for other purposes. With regard to South Koreans, 47. 3% studied English for work, 44. 1% for University and 8. 6% for other purposes. Coming to the Spanish, about half ( 49. 3%) of them studied English for university while only 28. 4% and 22. 3% studied English for work and other purposes respectively. On the contrary, more than half ( 59. 6%) of the Chinese studied English for work and only 37. 2% studied it for University. The percentage of Chinese studying English for other purposes was the least ( 3. 2%). Similarly, about half of the Turkish ( 48. 5% ) studied English for work and 39. 2 % of them studied it for University while only a small percentage ( 13. 3%) studied it for other purposes.
