The pie charts illustrate the native language spoken by the students of Maple Woods, in the years 2005 to 2010. English was spoken by the majority of the students while, Chinese was amongst the least spoken languages. The number of French speakers also plummeted in 2010. In 2005, the percentage of English speaking students was at 58%, while that of French and Chinese speakers stood at 21% and 10% respectively. The other languages, like Spanish, constituted 11% of the total students at Maple Woods High School. In 2010, the percentage of English speakers rose from 58% (in 2005) to 63%. On the other hand, the percentage of French speaking natives decreased from 21% to a mere 13%. Speakers of other languages remained almost the same.
