Over the period, swimming and jogging/running are becoming favored while ballgames and biking/roller skating show opposite movement. Moving on, the line graph illustrates that ball games were the most popular outdoor sport with over 34% compared to the other three activities. However, the figure illustrates a dramatic drop to 20% at present. Biking/roller skating have shown similar fluctuation on the contrary with various proportions. Around 25% of young people participated hence, it decreased to 16% at present-time.
On the contrary, swimming had only 14% of youngsters taking part yet it leveled up by 20%. As well as the shift in jogging/running’s figure, from 8% in 1990 to 18% in 2000, then resumed to fall until it leveled up and reached a peak of 15% at this moment.
