The following diagrams illustrate two ways of collecting water in order to irrigate.
Overall, the diagrams indicates the irrigation manually. However, in the second diagram the waste of water and the force and energy is less than the first one.
First, farmers can use a swing basket which is made of bamboo or leather. It is carried using ropes. It is filled by water after the basket is out of the irrigation channel with the usual depth of 1 to 2 metres. Finally, the filled basket is carried to the fields for irrigation.
The next process begins with ropes that are attached to a cow. The ropes are tied to a bucket in a 50 metres well. Initially, the bucket is pull out of the well by means of ropes attached to the cow. The bucket is moved smoothly to the surface through pulley and rollers. Eventually, the water is poured down on the irrigation channels. The process starts over again with cow’s movement on the slope.
