In 1960, there were 3000 yellow fever victims in Kenya. This figure remained steady for another five years. Then onwards, yellow fever witnessed a steady fall almost 500 cases every year and registered 1500 by 1980. After that, it did not change up to 1985. Then the prevalence of yellow fever experienced a sharp drop and by 1990 it was completely eradicated. As an overview, yellow fever which was present maximum in the introductory period had a declining pattern as years followed and by the end of the evaluation period it was completely wiped out.
