In 2005, the online sales for retail electronics and appliance accounted for 35%, compared to 22%, 25% and 18% in food and beverage, home furnishings and video games respectively. Over the following 5 years, the online sales for retail electronics and appliance reduced slightly by 5% while the figure for food and beverage rose significantly to 32%. There was a gradual decline in the amount of online money earned for retail home furnishing of 10%. However, the online sales for retail video games rose steadily and accounted for 23%.
