Cameras have been playing an important role in the life of a modern man. The given diagram showcases a camera and its parts and gives a cross-sectional view of it. The outer body of a camera which conceals and protects the inner parts is usually made out of a light weight but sturdy material, and mostly is black in colour. In the figure, it can be seen that the light enters into circular lens which are placed at the front of the camera. Light passes through these lens which appear to have concave and convex shapes. Moving to the mid part, a rotating mirror which is moves from top to bottom and allows the digital sensor to be exposed to the light path. It also consists of a shutter that closes the camera lens when a button useed to capture pictures is clicked. Now on the top part, it consists of a focusing screen and a pentaprism. The light which was reflected from rotating mirror falls on focusing screen that in turn goes into the pentaprism which has five sides and helps in capturing the image. The eyepiece shown helps the photographer to locate their target object and adjust the angles accordingly to get their desired end result.
