Overall, it can be seen that more students have been choosing to study mandarin, but french language still stands as popular speech between students. In 2000, most students who selected french was 150, compared to just under 10 students who took mandarin. During five years, a number of french learners were dramatically lowered and became at 90 students, during that time, there was an increasing number for mandarin and reached a peak at 75 pupils.
