The table displays the value of fish imported by the United States between 1988 and 2000 while the three pie charts below the table indicates the amount of fish imported by the US from Canada, China, and other miscellaneous countries in the same three years. Overall, the value of fish imports rose over the span of 12 years. In the year 1992, US imported most of the fishes from their neighbors Canada but as years passed by China and other countries played a more crucial role while exporting their fishes to the United States. In terms of the total value of imports, the amount at the start of the given period was 6. 57 billion $ which increased to 8. 52 billion $ in 1992. A further hike was seen in these values as the worth of fish imports reached 10. 72 billion $ at the end of the given term. Regarding the pie charts, During the year 1992 China and other countries across the globe combined to provide US 40% of the imported fishes while the rest of 60% were imported from Canada. Within a short span of 4 years the % amount of fishes imported from Canada were reduced to 34% and on the contrary, China and other countries across the globe were responsible for 66% of fishes imported by the US. At the end of the given phase, Canada and other world countries observed a drop in their contribution due to a significant rise of 10% in a space of 8 years for the Chinese accounting for 30% of the imported fishes by the US.
