The given bar chart delineates the consumption of hamburger, fish & chips, and pizza by three groups, which was divided by their wages in the UK in 1990. Overall, the figures for hamburger consumed by residents were ranked first in high income and average income groups, while the opposite was true for the proportion of pizza in groups of people with average and low wages. As can be seen from the chart, dwellers in the high income group chose hamburger as their most preferred fast food, which they spent about 42 pence, was generally far higher when compared with two remaining foods. Average income group showed a similar trend with hamburger accounted for nearly 33 pence, which was followed by fish & chips and pizza, at 25 pence and approximately 12 pence, respectively. Regarding the group of residents with low wages, about 13 pence made the fish & chips category become the most popular choice, while hamburger came a close second with nearly 15 pence and the figure for pizza was the lowest, only above 5 pence.
