The graph illustrates the recycling rate for different materails between 1982 and 2010. Overall, there are differences in the percentages of reclycling rates of paper and cardboard, glass containers, aluminium cans and plastics by following years.
The paper and cardboard is the most recycled suprassing other three materails. Eventhough being in top, paper recycling rate fluctuated. Glass containers also followed the path of paper and cardboard. The aluminium cans recycling rate significantly increased. Plastics has seen a vey little growth when compared to other catogories.
Paper and cardboard growth started at 65% in 1982 as soon as reaching 70% it fell down to 65% thereafter increased to 80% and ended at 70% in 2010. Glass containers rate was 50% in 1982 which declined to 40% between 1986 and 1990, it ultimately increased to 60%. Aluminium cans besides having a low percentage in the beginning gradually increased to 45%. Plastics reclycling rate slightly increased from 0. 5% to 0. 9%.
