describe the changes of a park from 1920 until now P6eE
The maps depict modifications of Grange park from 1920 until now. As it can be seen from two maps, the area experienced a complete transformation with various facilities being relocated, replaced and added more to the park now. In addition, the most considerable change is the replacement of fountain by erecting large rose garden and the reposition of seats around the park.
Look at the maps closely, two entrances, directly facing with Arnold Avenue and Eldon Street have remained unchanged until now. However, there is a new entrance built at the bottom right-hand side for car parking underground. Many seats put around the park in 1920, has been removed and converged in the middle of the park, which are opposite to new redeveloped amphitheater for concerts.
In the middle of Grange park, new rose garden is constructed on the original site of the fountain, leading to the demolition of the pond in the top right-hand corner. Meanwhile, water system needed to plant roses continually will be replaced by water feature, located in the old position of glasshouse. Finally, the removal of small old rose garden and the pond left empty spaces for erecting new café and playground for children in the top right-hand corner.
