The two maps show how the Sawry District neighbourhood is different in 2020 from what it looked like a decade ago, and what changes took place since 1920. While the main roads remained identical, many new facilities were built in the 100-year period examined. South of Oak Avenue, several new houses were constructed, as well as a shop. Yang Office Complex took the place of the Tulebug Bros. Cannery, while the Prestwich Primary School moved to a new location. At the school’s former location, the Lonoco Petrol Station can be seen. In addition, a bridge has been built over Elmwood River, as well as a bike path to the south of it. A road has been placed there too, in order for citizens to be able to get to the bridge. The forest to the north remained similar sized, however, east of Miller’s Lake, a fair amount of deforestation can be seen. Overall, while a number of changes took place in Sawry District between 1920 and 2020, it can be stated that the main outlook of the village remained more or less the same.
