The first classification of crime is burglary which tops the list. In the year 2003, this illegal activities were rampant in the inner city as it recorded a rise of about 400 incidents in just one year. Security measures were seriously taken and a steady decline of the occurrences from the beginning of 2004 up to 2008. Hand down to the efforts of the enforcers to reduce the crime from 4, 300 down to 1, 100 with in 4 years. From 2008 until 2012 the situation regarding burglary I would say have been pretty much in control. Next in line is car robbery. It was rampant in 2003 & 2004 before it dropped from an average of 2, 800 recorded complaints to almost 2, 000 by the end of 2005. Apprehension of car thieves was at average from 2006 up to the end of 2008. However, it seems that car theft again had gone up by 2009. The number of recorded crimes involving vehicle loss in 2 years span from 2010 to 2012 can be compared to the statistics of 2003 to 2005. Lastly, stealing from someone is at the bottom of the unwanted activities in the city. These will be recorded cases of common and small criminal activities. Although the number each year is fluctuating only between 500 to a maximum of 900 case from the year 2003 to 2012. This rate is tiny compared to the other two illegal acts, but it still is a sad thing to know of its regular occurrences.
