The graph illustrates the four separate countries of individual carbon dioxide emission in United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy and Portugal during the 40 year period. Overall, though the number of carbon dioxide tonnes decreased steadily in UK and Sweden, whereas there're obvious increase in Portugal and Italy. To elaborate, UK got 10. 5 metric tonnes of CO₂ which was the largest amount in four different countries. Despite the fact that, after 1987 it declined considerably. In Sweden, the graph reached to its peak in 1977 with just over 10 tonnes then cascaded dramatically. While, Italy started with over 4 tonnes in 1967 and soared gradually untill which almost reached to 8 tonnes during the 40 year time. In Portugal, the individual rate of carbon emissions commenced with 1. 5 tonnes and rose sharply 5. 5 tonnes which was the same with the result of Sweden 2007.
