The bar chart gives information about the average weekly household expenditure in the country and in different regions in England from 2007 to 2009.
As we can see, between 2007 and 2009, the average expenditure clustered between 400 to 500 Euros per week, except those of North East (with 390 Euros as the lowest expenditure region), South East (520 Euros) and London (550 Euros). The mean living costs in London and South East ranked as top and the second during the period of time. There was a huge difference of about 130 Euros per week between the lowest (in North East) and the highest living costs (in London).
In the two-year period, it is interesting to note that the mean weekly costs for England were approximate 470 Euros, which was higher than those of half of the regions, excluding the expenses in the top four areas: London, South East, East (490 Euros) and South West (480 Euros), preceding average weekly expenditure in other five regions.
