The reading and the lecture are both about the alternative treatment of Maleria disease. The author of the reading presented three alternative stretagies to combat the maleria disease, which spread by the parasite and mosqutoes carries these parasite and infect the humans. The lecturer sidputes the claims made in the article. His position is that unfortunately none of the medicine eradicate the malerial parasite, although It can cure the disease. First, the writer claims that treatment of malaria parasite is only rhe prescription of efective medicine. Patients should be treated after the identification of the specific stain. Furthermore, it is stated in the article that according to the strains drug or medication should be administered in the patients. In contrast, the lecturer argues that medicines can be effective if we treate patients after the identification of the type of the parasite. Additionally he maintains that parasites are immunised for old and or regular medicinces and alternative approach should be taken. But traditional medicens are useless. Second, the author mentions that attinuation of the parasite, which causes the malaria in the human can be another approach. On top of that, he adds that chemical sprays can be useful to kill the parasite where they grow or accumulate such as stored water and static water. Further, author explains that another streategies is that larvae can be eaten by traditional fish. However, the lecturer calls this arguments in to question by saying that chemicals and fish can kill the parasite. Addition to this, he remarks that parasites containing mosquitoes can fly away from the fish and chemicals. So, he argue that this method cannot control malaria fully. Finally, the author asserts that third strategy is to sterile the male mosquitoes so that femal can reproduce eggs which do not hatch and mosquitoes will die.
