Unemployment rates in three countries Jw7Ja
The line graph compares Spain, Germany and Italy in terms of unemployment rates between 1991 and 2005. Overall, the proportion of unemployment in Spain experienced a significant decrease after a considerable growth for the first two years. However, there were sharp ups and downs in the same figure for Italy followed by a peak at the end of the given period. On the other, the percentage of the unemployed in Germany in 2005 came back to what it was in 1991. From 1991 to 1993 the index for people without jobs in Spain rose sharply to 18 percent from just over 12 percent before keeping unchanged for the next two years. However, the figure in the same country, then, started to decline falling to the stable level of about 8 percent between 2003 and 2005. On the other hand, the percentage of the unemployed Italians experienced a gradual rise to 12 percent in 1997, though there was a stability during the next three years. However, the index decreased accounting for about 9 percent in 2005. As far as the Dutch is concerned, the percentage of the unemployed was equal to 4 percent in 1991. However, from that time until 2001 the figure showed great variations before reaching a high of 11 percent 4 years later.
