The table displays information about sales of Fairtrade labelled coffee and bananas between two different years, 1999 and 2004 across five European countries. People in Switzerland consumed coffee and banana the most in 1999 comparing to other countries. The sales of coffee in Switzerland doubled in 2004 holding the second position right after the UK. Sales of both the products have increased throughout all the mentioned countries each year, except for Denmark. In 2004, the sales of coffee in the UK increased to 20 million euros, whereas it was only 1. 5 million euros in 1999. Switzerland was the highest in terms of the monetary value of sales in 1999, generating 3 million euros that doubled in 2004. All the other countries stood very low in coffee sales for both the years. Switzerland generated 15 million euros by selling bananas that increased more than 50% in 2004. The UK had a record of 1 million euros of sales in 1999 and 5. 5 million euros in 2004. Denmark is the second highest in selling bananas generating 2 million euros in 1999. However, the sales dropped to 0. 9 million euros in 2004. Therefore, we can conclude that Switzerland has more Fairtrade labelled coffee and banana consumers than all the other European countries.
