The table below shows the monthly expenditure of an average Australian family in 1991 and 2001 2mQo
Illustrated in the tabulation are the general Australian household expenses per month in the decade from 1991 to 2001. It is readily shown that the total disbursement had slightly increased over the decade, with a primary focus on food and other goods and services. As is presented in the chart, the overall spending of an Australian family was AUD 675 in 1991 where this dramatically grew up to AUD 715 in 2001. Other goods and services (non-essential ones) are the primary spendings in 1991 and 2001, growing from AUD 250 to AUD 270. Followed by food, the second-highest expenditure, had slightly increased from AUD 155 to AUD 160. Meanwhile, Australian decreased their spendings on clothing, which had been the minimum in both years, from $30 to $20. During 1991, electricity and water and transport had an approximate amount of money spent of AUD 75 and AUD 70 respectively. Interestingly, electricity and water had the highest rise from 75 to 120. On the contrary, transportation cost had the highest decline from 70 to 45.
