The table below gives information on consumer spending on different items in five different countries in 2002.

The given table provides data about the percentage of national consumer expenditure by three categories in Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and Turkey in 2002. Overall, the most favourite items that people spending were Food/Drinks/Tobacco and followed by Clothing/Footwear by 2002. Meanwhile, Leisure/Education was the least. Besides, the expense of Turkey was higher than in the four other countries. As can be seen in the table, Turkey spent the most on Food/Drinks/Tobacco by 32. 14%. In addition, Ireland is also a country with a high level of expenditure at 28, 91% compared to Sweden which was the least spending by just 15. 77%. Whilst, Italy and Spain spent 16. 36% and 18. 80% respectively. On the other hand, Leisure/Education was the least expenditure. Turkey spent most on these items by just 4. 35%. In terms of clothing/footwear, Italy was the most spending at 9. 00%. In contrast, Sweden was the least expenditure of 5. 40%. Whilst, The other three countries spent on average around 6. 00%.
