The line graph compares the percentage of work force in United States and japan between March1993 and 1999. It is obvious that, these opposing trends mean that percentage of work force in Japan has doubled from during this period, while it declined from 7% to 5% in the United States. As seen from the graph, between March1993 and 1998 the Unemployment rate in the United States has been higher than Unemployment rate in the Japan. It stood at 7% at the start of this period and experienced a period of volatility and decline to 5. 2 % in 1998. Since then the rate, finally has decreased again to around 5. 1 % in the end of the period. In contrast, The Unemployment rate in Japan started from 2. 5 % and increased to a peak of 5. 2 % in 1998 like the United States at the same period of time. Then a short time its rate was higher than United States in the middle of the 1998 before experiencing a reduction in 1999. Overall, these opposing trends mean that percentage of work force in Japan has doubled from during this period, while it declined from 7% to 5% in the United States.
